When connecting to a Mac you may be prompted to enter your Mac Credentials. You should enter the same username and password you use to log onto your Mac when you turn it on (this is not your Gmail password).

Note: If you don't use a password to log into to your Mac, then you won't be able to log in remotely. In this case you have two options:

  1. Set a password on your Mac user account by opening the Users & Groups system preferences (recommended).
  2. Enable the Mac's VNC Server
OS X Lion users should always use option #1. Leopard and Snow Leopard users can use either option.

If you're still having trouble logging in then try the following:

  1. Click the Jump Desktop icon on the top menubar and then click the Diagnostics menu option.
  2. Click the Fix it button.
  3. Try connecting again from Jump.
Alternatively, if you don't have Jump installed on your Mac then you can try these steps manually:
  1. Open up Sharing preferences on your Mac
  2. Make sure Screen Sharing is checked.
  3. Make sure Remote Management is UNCHECKED.
  4. Click the Screen Sharing entry again and make sure Allow access for is set to All users.
  5. Save your settings and try connecting again.
