Hi - love Jump Desktop - it works really well.
I have a problem with a new laptop I just got - a Dell E6220, running Windows 7 with 1366 - 768 screen resolution. Using Jump with VNC, no problem. I can connect and the screen looks great on my iPad.
Using Jump with RDP, which is my preference (to not run the VNC client), I have two problems:
1) I have to specify the screen resolution of 1360 x 768 to be able to connect at all. Jump will try to connect, but give up and return to the list of possible Jump locations.
2) Once connected, the screen on the Jump-enabled iPad looks like 4-bit color or something. The toolbars are pixelated, and the fonts are grainy.
I've tried multiple resolutions, color qualities, etc. Any ideas what I should try?
Or should I just use VNC?

We've fixed an issue in our recent code base that might address the issue you're hitting. It'll be included in our next update (the one after 4.0.5).
That said here are a couple of questions that might help us confirm that this is indeed the issue:
1. Can you connect using 1024x768 resolution?
2. Can you please send over the Jump Desktops logs from your iPad? Try this: Open up Jump on your iPad and tap the Settings icon on the top left hand corner of the main Jump screen. Scroll down and turn on the Logging option. Then go back and reproduce the issue with 1366x768. Then come back to the settings page and tap the 'Email Log' button. This should help us understand the issue.

Hi - thanks for looking at this.
1) Yes, I can connect at 1024x768. in fact, i can connect at all of the preset resolutions that the slider has.
2) i just emailed you a log file from a god connection at 1360x768, and another one that terminates early at 1366x768.

We've verified this bug with the current version of Jump iOS (4.0.5). The fix should be in the next update. A work around in the meantime is to make sure the resolution width is a multiple of 16.
Thanks very much for your help wtih this! I encountered this with a new-to-me laptop, a Dell E6220, which has a native resolution of 1366 x 768. I can confirm that I can connect with the resolution 1360 x 768. I can see that I'm going to have a lot of horizontal scrolling, but that's an entirely different issue. (-:

Guys - just want you to know that this issue should be fix in our latest iOS update (4.0.6) that was released today. Please try it out!
I would like to make a request for support of higher resolutions for the new iPad. I was not able to get the resolution higher than 1024 x 768. It would be great to be able to run at 1280 x 1024 on the new iPad.
@Rael - Jump does support higher resolutions than 1024x768 (it's always supported this even with the iPad 1). If you're in 'screen sharing' mode then try increasing your laptop's display resolution. If you're in 'windows remote desktop' mode then you can set the try setting the resolution by tapping the blue arrow icon to your computer's name in Jump and then edit the 'display' row.
