  • OS X Lion Compatibility Notes

Jump Desktop 4.0.4 (released August 8th 2011)

Jump Desktop 4.0.3 (released July 21st 2011)

  • Right clicks do not work properly on Mac Snow Leopard 10.6.8
  • OS X Lion Compatibility Notes
  • 23/07/2011 6:18 AM: Update: App Store issues seemed to have resolved themselves. 4.0.3 is available on the App Store.
  • 22/07/2011 9:17 am: Even though the 4.0.3 update was released about 18 hours ago, it has still hasn't showed up on the App Store. We're following up with Apple Support right now. In the meantime if you urgently need to update here is something you can try: Delete Jump from your device and redownload it from the App Store. Even though the App Store displays version 4.0.2 as the latest version, you may end up downloading the updated 4.0.3 (this worked for us two out of three times). You can check if you have 4.0.3 by tapping the settings icon on the top left hand corner of the main Jump screen and then tapping the About row. Warning: Deleting Jump from your device will also remove your Jump settings. You will need to reconfigure Jump after the download.

Jump Desktop 4.0.2 (released July 19th 2011)

  • 21/07/2011 2:43 PM: Jump Desktop 4.0.3 was released to App Store which contains OS X Lion compatibility fixes.
  • 20/07/2011 1:03 PM: Jump Desktop 4.0.3 has been submitted to Apple for review and contains a fix for OS X Lion. Due to the nature of the bug, we've requested an expedited review for the bug fix release. We'll post new updates here.
  • 20/07/2011 11:04 AM: OS X Lion users: There is a known issue when logging into OS X Lion. We are currently testing a fix for this issue and will submit it before the end of day today. When the fix comes out, please be sure to edit your server's setting in Jump and switch the new 'auth' setting to ''automatic' .

Jump Desktop 4.0.1 (released May 3rd 2011)

  • 05/07/2011 10:57 AM: We've successfully tested a fix for the NLA bug. Jump Desktop 4.0.2 has been submitted to Apple today which has this fix.
  • 11/05/2011 5:27 AM: We're currently testing a potential fix for this issue. If you'd like to help test out the fix for this please contact support@jumpdesktop.com
  • 08/05/2011 7:25 AM: We're still investigating the RDP NLA login problem below. We need help reproducing this issue: We haven't been able to reproduce this in our lab using Server 2003/R2, Server 2008/R2 and Windows 7 machines. If you have a publicly available Windows computer that is exhibiting this issue and would like to help please contact support@jumpdesktop.com .
  • 04/05/2011 8:37AM: We've received isolated reports of NLA login still working for domain accounts (this happens for only some domain accounts) We are investigating. If you're hitting this issue please help by reporting it to support@jumpdesktop.com . A workaround for this issue exists: Click here to see the workaround.

Jump Desktop 4.0 (released April 27th 2011)

  • 03/05/2011 6:12pm PDT: Jump Desktop 4.0.1 was released to the app store which fixes the issues mentioned below.
  • 29/04/2011 2:08pm PDT: We've finished investigating login problems with 4.0 and have identified a fix. Jump 4.0's NLA implementation does not work properly with domain-joined computers. We've fixed this issue in 4.0.1 and re-submitted the app to Apple at approximately 11:15am PDT. In the mean time, a work around for this is available: Tap the blue arrow next to your server's name in Jump and edit the connection settings. Scroll down and turn off the NLA mode option and try reconnecting.
  • 28/04/2011 11:20pm PDT: Users have reported screen corruption and a Jump Desktop crash when the server end is restricted to 15bit color mode (this is an unusual scenario). We've fixed this issue and submitted the fix in the 4.0.1 update to Apple. In the mean time a work around for this is available: Tap the blue arrow next to your server's name and edit the connection properties. Tap the Quality row and turn OFF Bitmap Caching.
  • 28/04/2011 1:00pm PDT: 4.0.1 has been submitted to Apple which fixes the crashes reported on iPod 2G and iPhone 3G. We are still investigating NLA issues on domain joined Windows 7 PCs. Again, a work around for this is available: Turn off the Jump's 'NLA' setting for your server.
  • 27/04/2011 9:50PM PDT: Users on iPod 2G and iPhone 3G have reported crashes when connecting to RDP servers. Preliminary investigation reveals that this might be due to a out-of-memory issue on older devices with less on-board RAM. A work around for this is available: Tap the blue arrow next to your server's name and edit the connection properties. Tap the Quality row and turn OFF Bitmap Caching. Save your settings and try connecting again. If you're hitting this problem, we'd really appreciate it if you could please report it to: support@jumpdesktop.com and help us test the fix.
  • 27/04/2011 11:51AM PDT: Some users are reporting problems connecting to RDP servers in NLA mode. We are investigating. A work around for this is available: Tap the blue arrow next to your server's name and edit the connection properties: Scroll all the way to the bottom and turn off the NLA option. Save your settings and try connecting again. If you see this problem, we'd really appreciate it if you could report it to us by emailing: support@jumpdesktop.com and help us test a fix for this issue.
