Jump Desktop 4.0 for Mac supports two ways to remotely printer over RDP connections. Please note: Remote Printing is only supported when connecting to Windows computers using a RDP connection.
1. Driverless printing
Driverless printing is a very convenient way to send printouts to your Mac without installing any extra software on the remote computer. It's available whenever you connect to a computer using a RDP connection. The downside is it's an order of magnitude slower than printing using the Jump Desktop Printer driver (see below). If you print regularly over RDP connections we recommend using the high performance Jump Desktop Printer Driver instructions below.
To use driverless printing simply connect to the Windows computer using a RDP connection. Jump Desktop will automatically add all printers attached to your Mac to the remote computer as well as an additional printer named "Send to Preview on Mac". Simply send your print jobs to any of these printers to have it redirected to your Mac.
2. High performance printing via Jump Desktop Printer Driver
We recommend using the Jump Desktop Printer driver if you regularly send printouts to your Mac - it's much faster than driverless printing. To get started with high performance printing install the Jump Desktop Printer driver on your Windows machine. The next time you connect to your computer using Jump Desktop, you'll see a new printer available for printing called "Jump Desktop Printer". Send your print jobs to this printer for high performance printing. Note: print outs sent to Jump Desktop Printer will open in the Preview app on your Mac from which you can forward it to any of your Mac printers.
