Your desktop icons might be re-arranged after you connect to your computer using Jump Desktop. Follow the workaround below to fix this issue. Note: This article applies to RDP connections only. Users connecting to their computers over VNC should are not effected by this issue.
The reason your desktop icons are rearranged is because Windows automatically lowers your desktop's size to fit your iPad / iPhone's screen when you connect to it using Jump. This causes icons on your desktop to be automatically re-arranged to fit the smaller screen space.
A quick workaround for this issue is to increase Jump's connection resolution to match your computer's native desktop resolution. Try the steps below to increase the connection resolution:
- Open up Jump on your iPad / iPhone and tap the blue arrow next to your computer's name.
- Edit the display row and use the slider to increase the resolution so that it matches your computer's native resolution.
- Save your changes and try connecting again.
