If you're having trouble logging into your computer and are continuously prompted for Windows Credentials then please make sure you read this help article: What should I enter in the Windows Credentials Prompt . If after the reading the article you're still unable to login try the following steps:
- Open up Jump on your iPad/iPhone and tap blue arrow next to your computer's name. This should take you to Jump's settings screen for your computer.
- Edit the autologon row and clear all 3 fields: user name, password and domain. Make sure these fields are completely empty. Save your settings and go back.
- Scroll down until you see the nla option. Disable the option.
- Save your settings and go back to the main Jump screen.
- Try reconnecting to your computer. You should be able to connect and see the familiar blue Windows login screen. Login normally.
- If you don't see the login screen after reconnecting and are still prompted for Windows Credentials then we'll need to turn off NLA mode on your computer as well. Try these steps on your PC:
- Right click Computer and then click Properties
- Then click the Remote Settings link.
- In the Remote Desktop section make sure the following setting is selected: Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop (less secure) .
- Apply your changes and try reconnecting using Jump.

What if there is no password?
I am using windows 10 home, and domain is workgroup. I have checked settngs for remote service, only remote assistance available. I have with and wthut domain name and username with the slashes. None of them works. Cant fnd NLA though
This article doesn’t clearly show how to rectify this issue:
1). There isnt an arrow but an i in a circle
2). There is no scroll in order to see the Nla
i cannot connect to the remote pc... been at it several hours...
is there another option to connect to a pc? (Simple and concise directions?)
Hi,
I had the very same issue with the latest Windows 10 installation (May 7, 2018)
After many hours of testing I found the issue and a solution that, at least, worked for me:
Windows User Name AND the Computer name were the same (User=PC, Computer's Name=PC) , so i changed the computer's name in PC-i7 and after a restart I was able to get connected ! (Don't ask me why !)
I hope this help.
NOTE: the windows PC MUST HAVE A PASSWORD !
I'm using windows 10 pro and the login is through an MS Office 365 account. The user name comes up as AzureAD\myname - and the password doesn't work. What should I do?
OK, I worked it out rather quickly. the first time I connect with Jump Desktop, I need to have logged into the remote computer with a password and not with a PIN. Once I've logged in with the password, and I've told Jump Desktop to remember the password, it logs in every time OK
This issue of repeating log in dialog box also occurs with MacOS running on the remote computer: if the remote computer is freshly booted or rebooted, there is no way to sign in, as the dialog continues to appear requesting another log in.
I have this issue currently. Connection is established normally via the "Ask" method, but not with credentials - the dialog keeps reappearing. When I reach step 3 of troubleshooting, there is no "nla" option for me to select (app is on iPadOS, latest version). I've tried skipping this step and disabling NLA mode on Windows as well, but with no success. It'd be counterproductive, to say the least, to have to use the "Ask" method of connection (rendering the app unusable).
P.S.: FIXED. Used an outdated password, the only one which Windows considered valid. Works like a charm.
