If you're having trouble connecting to a Windows or Mac that was cloned or restored from a time machine backup of an existing machine, you may have to reset Jump Desktop Connect's settings so that your machine can be uniquely identified by Jump's cloud servers. To fix this:
- Open up Jump Desktop Connect on the cloned Mac or Windows machine.
- Click the settings/gear icon on the top right. Then click Configuration and click Reset Settings.
- Then restart your machine and re add yourself as a remote access user or rejoin the computer to your team.

There's no Resourceid value inside the JumpDesktop key, actually there's no value in this key at all.
I'm using Windows 10 / Jump Desktop v4.8.4
This troubleshooting tip should be promoted to higher visibility and linked in prominent places. If possible, even make Jump Desktop and Connect smarter about detecting this situation and suggesting/warning about it. I was trying to connect to a new M2 Mac mini which had been restored from a TimeMachine backup of my old M1 Mac mini. Inability to connect to or even see it despite checking all requirements was driving me nuts until I came across this article.
