No, a Google account is not necessary to use Jump Desktop. Jump Desktop is a true RDP and VNC client. You can manually add servers using just an IP address or the server's host name.
Connecting through a Google account does have advantages though. With a Google account you will no longer need to manually manage the computer's IP address or worry about configuring your router or network settings to enable full remote desktop access from the internet.

can i use this without internet connection ?
@Serg, yes you can. You'll need to set it up manually on your local network by entering your computer's IP address into Jump.
@Jump Desktop Support, care to add some screenshots from start to finish of this process? Both the viewer and service I've been working with in Windows 7 Pro require sign-in to my Google account.
1.) The link of how to do it manually does not send to any existing page
2.) How to switch back to manual login is not explained at any place!
