Fluid Remote Desktop is a new way to connect to your computers. Brand new installations of Jump Desktop Connect enable Fluid by default. If you're an existing user upgrading from an earlier version of Jump Desktop Connect, you'll need to enable Fluid manually on your Windows or Mac computer. Follow these steps:
- Open up the Jump Desktop Connect app on your Windows or Mac computer and then click the settings icon on the top right.
- Click the Diagnostics row and make sure you're running version 5.0 or later. If you're on an earlier version (i.e 4.x) upgrade to the latest version from here: https://jumpdesktop.com/go
- Click the Advanced row and make sure Fluid Remote Desktop is checked
Once you've enabled Fluid, you should see a new light blue icon for your computer on all your devices. Here's what it looks like:
Tap / click to connect. You will be asked for Windows Credentials or Mac Credentials when you try to connect - so please make sure the user account on your computer has a password assigned to it. In the future we'll add other ways to authenticate with Fluid.
