Cursor Match-up
AnsweredHey guys...
Super minor issue here but one that drives me absolutely crazy. I'm running Jump on a MB Pro with Sierra 10.12.6 that connects to a server via VNC. The cursor on my local desktop does not match up with the cursor on the Windows Server 12 desktop and it's killing me! I've spent the better part of 2 hours trying to correct to no avail.
Any suggestions?

That correct. For example, i’f I want to click on the Start Button on WS 12 I need my curser to be in the middle of the screen so the Windows curser will be where it needs to be. I am running Jump Desk on my MB Pro OS to connect into the server which is hosted by Contabo. It is their standard VPS M package running Windows Server

Thanks Justin. So, did you actually install a VNC server inside the VPS or are you connecting to a VNC server provided by Contabo?
We’ve seen that VNC servers running OUTSIDE a VPS instance have trouble with aligning the mouse pointer - and even sending keystrokes to the VPS. This happens because the external VNC server usually doesn’t have an idea where the mouse pointer is inside the VPS. In such instances we usually recommend directly connecting to the VPS via RDP or by running your own VNC/Fluid server inside the VPS instance - that should fix the problem.

Same here when connecting via VNC. I've just purchased to find out it's useless. Details:
- Jump Desktop Version 7.1.4 (228)
- Remote: OS: Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter Edition (64 Bit)
- Client: macOS High Sierra.
- Same when I connect via: vnc://remote:port/ via Screen Sharing app.
Very often the pointer sometimes is half screen away. This is especially troublesome when I'm on the top edge of the screen with the real pointer, but Windows pointer is in the middle, so I can't really close any windows or interact. Unfortunately, I can't use RDP instead.
I'm not sure about VNC server, it's provided by the hosting company.
Reproducible steps:
1. Order the cheapest Windows VPS at contabo.com
2. Try to connect via VNC with the details provided in the server profile.
