Audio from remote computer but only locally

I want to remote into my desktop compute from my laptop.  I want to play an audio file on the desktop but only to be heard on the laptop, not the desktop as it is an a room that would disturb other people

  Hello Joe. Thank you for reaching out to us. Can you please confirm if you are connecting to a Mac or a Windows machine? This will help us provide you with the appropriate solution.

  If you are connecting to a Windows machine and experiencing audio issues, it's likely that you need to install the virtual audio driver on the remote Windows machine. You can use this link to download the virtual audio driver https://vb-audio.com/Cable/ 

  1. While connected to the remote Windows machine, download and install the virtual audio driver.
  2. Once installed, navigate to the audio settings on the remote Windows machine and change the default output device to the virtual audio driver.
  3. You should be able to hear audio on your local device and it will not be heard on the remote Windows machine

  Please note that the audio experience can be different when connecting to a Mac.
