Jump Desktop Connect: from 4K Windows to 4K iMac
I tried to connect my Windows PC with a 4K monitor to my work iMac with 5K Retina display. The image is fuzzy/blurred even though I made sure the iMac is running at full res high DPI mode. It's like Jump is only capturing the iMac screen at 1440p resolution.
Chrome Remote Desktop on the other hand is showing crisp image.
Is there any setting I need to change to make it look better?

Hi Stephen, Thanks for reaching out to us.
To achieve 4K resolution on your monitor, please follow these steps:
-
Update to version 8.6.1 Windows Beta by downloading it from this link: https://changelog.jumpdesktop.com/jump-desktop-for-windows-8.6.1-beta-3McrKM.
-
After updating, enable 'Retina' mode in Jump to enhance the display quality.
Alternatively, you can enable 'Virtual Monitors' by referring to the instructions provided in this link: https://changelog.jumpdesktop.com/virtual-displays-pbTZC.

I don't see Retina when connected from Windows to Mac. From this page https://changelog.jumpdesktop.com/retina-support-for-fluid-fwZpe it seems only be available when both computers are Macs.
Virtual Monitors feature doesn't show any of the Retina/high DPI resolutions.

Hello,
Is there any update on this? I'm also finding that when I connect to a Mac from a high resolution windows client, the screen is blurry and there's no "retina" option available. A work around is to manually set the resolution to highest on the Mac, but, then the only app that's practical to use is safari because you can zoom.
Thanks

I'm having exactly the same issue. If I go from my Mac to Windows, it's crystal clear. But going from Windows to Mac (my preferred use case,) it's blurry and laggy. I can use virtual monitors in Jump and set the resolution to 4k but it doesn't scale so everything on the screen is way too small. Retina support for the Windows client would be great.
