Left click does not work with external mouse on iOS 16.5.1

I've tried multiple external mouses and the left click button does not work, I see the mouse icon but tapping left click doesn't do anything. I've tried with Assistive Touch both on and off. With Assistive Touch off, left click and right click both work, but I can't move the mouse. With Assistive Touch on, I can move the mouse and right click works, but left does not.
