Desktop Viewer (PC) Format and Encoding settings
What are the differences between all the Format and Encoding settings, like ZRLE, Tight, CoRRE, etc? Is there documentation on that somewhere?
I connect to my home PC a lot when I'm travelling, and sometimes the internet speeds in hotels are slow so I want to know what all those settings are in order to find the optimal one for what I'm doing. I work a lot in graphics and Photoshop so sometimes I need to open up pics and 3D software remotely.

Ed,
The best encoding would be "Tight" and then adjust the "jpeg quality" to about 5 or 6. This will decrease the quality of the connection but it should speed up the connection somewhat as it results in lower bandwidth usage. You can also adjust the 'Jpeg Quality' level to to further optimize bandwidth (I believe 1 is the lowest quality and 9 is the highest).
Please note though: These settings will hav only work when connecting to a Windows or Linux machine (not a Mac).
