Connect to a virtualbox virtual xp machine via ssh tunnel

Hi, I have a Linux desktop which I can reach via SSH only, and I have configured Jump to connect to it via VNC with the ssh tunnel, and it works great (cheers to the developers). Then I have a virtualbox virtual machine running in it, with windows xp. if I use the automatic way to connect it works. But in theory virtualbox offers a RDP connection which I am able to reach via SSH tunnel just ok with, for example, remmina from another Linux computer, but fails in Jump Desktop: it say that it is preparing the tunnel then it goes back to the main selection screen. Is there a way I can see what's happening and try to make it work? The built in virtualbox RDP is better than the native windows RDP that uses the automatic method because it is stateless and a bit faster... Thanks anyway, this app is very well designed. Just add private key ssh handling and it will be perfect...

    Hi Romano,

    Have you tried just RDP'ing into the VirtualBox RDP server - minus the SSH? That said, SSH AND RDP should work great since they are quite orthogonal in the way they've been implemented. Can you please send the logs from your device? If you're on iOS or Android tap the settings button on the top left hand corner of the main Jump screen, enable diagnostic logging and then reproduce the problem. Then go back to the same place and email the logs over. For Mac click the 'Help' button in the menu bar and then click the 'Diagnostics Log' menu item and copy paste the logs into an email to support@jumpdesktop.com . We'll take a closer look into it.

    I tried with just RDP on my internal network --- got an error this time. It says "The RDP server closed the connection. Code: 0x1". I will send the logs over --- they will arrive from another email, I imagine there is no problem. Notice that this is not a high priority problem, the "simple" method works, it's just an itch...

    Ok, I messed up :-) the ticket is 10318, but it seems I have no access to it for the different  emails, I suppose...

    @Romano, thanks for the logs. I think we've fixed this issue in our latest beta release. I've sent you a link - try it out and let me know what you think.

    Tried the latest beta few days ago - still have the connection problem. Again, it's not a show stopper, but that just to confirm I am still testing beta releases. Thanks!
