Three finger tap (toggle keyboard)

The three finger tap does not seem to be working for me. I am using an ipad connecting to windows 8. The jump desktop keyboard is much better than the touch keyboard in windows 8, but because of its size I have to keep turning it off and on and the three finger tap would make that much simpler. Is there some sort of special configuration I need to use to make this work? Dave
