@James, I'm sorry you're having trouble with Jump. This is unusual - we currently have no know crash issues similar to what you've described - even on the iPad 1. Are you connecting at the default 1024x768 resolution set for RDP? Can you tell me a little more about how you've configured Jump Desktop? Are you using a manual IP address to connect or are you using Jump's automatic setup via Gmail?

We've submitted Jump Desktop 5.0 to Apple yesterday and we're hoping it'll go through the review process in a week or so.

@James - one more thing: Is your iPad jailbroken or are you using anything non-standard with Jump?

Here is something you can try: tap the blue arrow icon next to your computer's name in Jump and then edit the 'Quality' section and turn of 'Bitmap Caching'. Let me know if that improves the stability. Turning off bitmap caching lowers Jump's memory footprint. Let me know if that helps with stability.
