Poor Windows 8 Experience
Hello;
I am a new user to Jump Desk and to remote desktops in general.
I have set up the software on the Kindle Fire HD (8.9") and two computers running Windows 8.
My home network speed is on a 1 gig switch and wirless N (the tablet can get ~ 30mb).
When using once computer to connect to the other, it seems clicking does not work on some applications. An example is the logitech desktop application for web cams, it loads up fine but you then can't click anything in the app.
A prime example is the free Fresh Paint application my kids love to play. You can load it up in the tile interface but then you can't actually click anything in the application itself.
I then attempted to load a game, and it became clear that even over the 1 gig connection, the game was not playable. The video would update once a second and the sound was choppy.
Moving on to the tablet version, the lag time was greatly increased (the screen would change box by box over 5 seconds or so). Moving back to the Fresh Paint application, you had to swap to Windows 8 Touch Mode to get the keys to work, but then you could not paint. Once on the paint screen with the paints you wanted, you needed t swap to normal mode and use the double click / drag in order to paint.
The lag again, made it not really possible as it would take 2-3 seconds for everything to catch up.
So in the end, the question is, the clicking and lag; is this normal or is there something I can do to fix / help it?
Your app was really easy to get set up and going, but without those two issues fixed it won't be something I can use every day, but only in a pinch.
