What is the file extension name for Mac OS X for a license key file?
To register, I am asked to import a key. Fine, I have a key on a PDF with the key on it. I assume I can make a text file that contains the key and save it, but I now know that the format matters. RTF and txt do not work, so what is the file extension for a key file for JumpDesktop and or how do I make one in order to enter my license key.

The license file has the extension: .jdlicense . It's actually an xml file and not a PDF. You should have received a link to download the license when you purchases the app through our web store or through a non-Apple third party website. Please note though: this does not apply to Mac App Store purchases. Mac App Store purchases are already unlocked and do not need a license file. If you've already imported your license file into Jump, it's stored in:
~/Documents/JumpDesktop/Viewer/license.jdlicense.
