Jump Desktop Annual Purchase

Hi All,

I work in the TV Industry in Australia and lately, I have been working in hybrid environments - I have my own machine set up at home so I always only need a Jumpdesk licence from employers, lately, I have been thinking about just buying an annual licence for overall investment and employers do not need to provide me anything except for a machine set up at work with an avid licence.

I have two questions for you - can I purchase an annual Jumpdesk licence? If so how - trying to find on where I can do this bit.

If I do set up one under my personal email - would I be able to use it during my contracts? This maybe a question for employers as I do notice when they provide jumpdesk licence to me it is under my work email logins.

    Thanks for that Abdul - to answer your question is I am an employee working as a freelancer from one project to the next and to one company to the next - so I was thinking to buy a one time payment for jumpdesk if possible to access the companies to remote into my machine at work from home - I am not sure if that works that way if I do buy a licence or it has to be through the company's licence.

    Hi Lama,

    Thank you for your response.
    If you intend to remotely access a computer, buying a perpetual license for Jump Desktop should be ideal for your needs.
    This license allows you to initiate remote access sessions from your computer to another machine.
    However, if someone else will be accessing your computer remotely, then you don't need to purchase a license.
    The individual who needs to remotely connect to your computer is the one who should acquire the Jump Desktop license.
    So, in summary, you only need the license if you're initiating remote access from your computer, not if someone else is connecting to your computer remotely.
