Keep me signed in on the web interface?

Why can I not leave the website logged in longer than a few hours? the client on my machine stays logged on until I log off. Why is there no option for that on the web? Considering I have to use the web to manage my team with the client being so lacking in features, please let me tell the page to keep me logged in!
