Significant Power Drain Jump Desktop Client on iPad
"Can't help but notice that Jump Desktop consumes a ridiculous amount of power when running on an iPad. As a comparison, normal browsing tasks on Safari, watching YouTube, and checking email on an iPad Pro 12.9 inch will result in a usage time of 8-10 hours. However, when using Jump Desktop, even with screen brightness at 50%, the usage time was at most 5 hours. This is almost twice as battery-hungry as normal usage with native Apple iPadOS apps. Can the Jump Desktop client on iPadOS be optimized?"

I finally figured out a workaround! Put Jump on a Screen Time app limit. I set it so it's limited to 15 mins a day. It's a pain if I'm using it a lot, but at least it doesn't run down my battery any more. I just wish the Jump Desktop team would do something about it. The last iOS update was a year ago.
