Same on iPhone - if I forget to force-close the app, it crushes the battery.

Same here. It's nuts. Jump doesn't even show up in the background app refresh section, so I don't know how to turn this off.

If you forget to close the connection using the red X in the 3 dot menu I've found that the app will attempt to maintain the connection to the remote machine.

You can also try force closing the app with a swipe up or double tap of home button.

Has this ever been sorted? I wondered why my ipad was draining power so quickly and then checked the battery and the app was in the background for 11 hours.

Is the only way to hit the red cross in the top menu bar to disconnect?

    Cheers

I wonder if it'd help if Jump added the "Background App Refresh" option that I see on some app (under Settings > Apps > (app name)). For some apps, you can turn that on and off. I wish I could turn that off for Jump.

I finally figured out a workaround! Put Jump on a Screen Time app limit. I set it so it's limited to 15 mins a day. It's a pain if I'm using it a lot, but at least it doesn't run down my battery any more. I just wish the Jump Desktop team would do something about it. The last iOS update was a year ago.
