Need Help with Remote Access to Rack Server Using Jump Desktop
Hi everyone,
I’ve been using Jump Desktop for a while now to manage my workstations and servers remotely, and I’ve been really impressed with the performance and ease of use. Recently, though, I encountered an issue while trying to establish a remote connection to one of my rack servers.
I have a physical rack server located in a data center, running Windows Server 2019. I’m using Jump Desktop on both my MacBook and iPhone to connect remotely. While I’ve been able to connect to other machines without issues, I keep running into a “Connection Failed” error when attempting to access the rack server.
I’ve checked the server’s firewall and ensured that the necessary ports are open, but the problem persists. I’ve also verified that the server is accessible through other means (such as RDP directly from a local machine), so I know the server itself is up and running fine. The issue only seems to occur when I try to use Jump Desktop.
Has anyone else experienced this when connecting to more complex setups like rack-mounted servers? Is there something specific I might be missing in the configuration? I’m currently running the latest version of Jump Desktop and have also tried reinstalling the app, but no luck so far.
Any advice or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
