Zoom to fit vertically
There are existing options to zoom the remote desktop to fit entirely within the local screen, but one that's missing is zoom to fit vertically, leaving horizontal scrolling if necessary. (Also zoom-to-fit horizontally, but taller-than-wide is pretty unusual in my experience.)
There is a four-plus year old request for "Full Screen on Ultrawide Monitor" which is talking about the same sort of thing, but maybe it wasn't considered to be a common enough issue to try to fix it.
In my case it's not an ultrawide monitor per se, but a pair of monitors that are bonded into a single desktop. Some of the systems which I connect to can only be accessed via VNC so the desktop doesn't/can't resize to fit the local display as it might if it were possible for me to use RDP.
Fit-to-screen is a complete non-starter if the local and remote desktops are widely variant in terms of aspect ratio -- the result is a strip of screen so small that it's not even readable enough to log in reliably.
That leaves Cmd-] to zoom in, and that's what I've been doing, but of course that does so in large scaling jumps. The result either leaves letterboxing at the top and bottom, with the resultant loss of resolution, or over-zooms such that I can't see things at top and bottom simultaneously. The result is pretty rough when running Jump Desktop on a laptop.
Zoom-to-fit-vertically seems like it would be really easy to implement given that you already have zooming, fitting, and scrolling in the product, just not the ability to fit to a single dimension. Could you please consider it?
Other than this issue I've had nothing but good things to say about the product. Its support for multiple protocols has been very nice when switching between RDP for windows boxes where I can use RDP and VNC where I can't.
