QuickTime on mac not playing back audio via Jump Desktop
This is not a problem with not having the right audio outputs or inputs selected correctly. This is definitely a problem where Quicktime will not send or is having trouble sending audio to Jump Desktop. This only started recently. I've used JD for a long time now and never had this issue. The very odd thing is that SOME audio on certain media files DOES playback... but then other types of audio or audio in video clips does NOT playback via Jump Desktop.
For example, I video file that I output using Final Cut Pro will play back audio... even though I can't hear the audio playing back in Final Cut Pro itself. I also recored an audio memo on my iPhone and sent that to my computer... the audio from my memo recording with NOT playback via Jump Desktop. So the issue is intermittent and apparently random. Some audio works... others do not.
I know this is a Quicktime issue because when I open up Elmedia Video Player and try to play back video and audio files via that... it works exactly like it should. I can hear the audio via Jump Desktop just fine. But since Final Cut Pro and the mac's finder use Quicktime to play back media files.... that's where we are having trouble.
I think a recent update to either JD or mac OS may have caused this issue.

Version 9.0.91 on an older MacBook pro.
I can log in remotely and playback youtube videos or open the photos app and hear iPhone videos just fine... this issue seems tied to Quicktime in mac OS's finder app and similarly to Final Cut Pro which I'm assuming would also use QT to playback media. I can see the video just fine.

I actually reinstalled Jump Desktop Connect on the remote computer today. So it would be the current version running on OS Sequoia 15.3.1.
I don't have any experience with the default JD audio driver on the host mac. Don't know what that is. I've only ever downloaded and installed the app on the host and then set up JD connect on the remote computer and bam. Everything has always worked fine.

Can you please email support@jumpdesktop.com? We’d like to schedule a time with you to investigate this further.

Hi,
We're investigating this issue: Here is a workaround, after you connect to the machine can you please click Remote -> Audio -> Receive Audio and select any other device other than "Jump Desktop Audio". Then again click Remote -> Audio -> Receive Audio and select "Jump Desktop Audio" and then test to see if QuickTime works?
Thanks
