    Updated: This was related to an older version of the Amphetamine. User @Michael Wenditz reports that updating to the latest version of Amphetamine fixed the issue.

    You ever find a solution to this?  It's real.

    Actually that's great, I'm running Amphetamine even.  I've been all over this app though and I can't seem to find anything that would cause the lock.  I have most things set to "indefinitely" to keep everything active all the time on this machine but I'm still hitting that 30 second reset to the password prompt login.  Any thoughts?  Or happen to remember what setting you were testing with?

    Can you also try to uncheck the 'Allow Screen Saver' option:

    as well as the 'Lock screen' options here:

    First of all thank you a ton for the support here!  Second, I'm on version 4.2 (4067) which I believe is the current one in the app store.  I don't seem to have as many options there, including the closed-display mode.  Which version are you guys testing with?

    ok up to 5.0.1 and I verified the stuff above was unchecked.  Hrmmmm... Also I noticed that when I don't run amphetamine I'm still getting kicked out after about 30 seconds.  There any other things I can check?  I can't remember if I mucked with caffeine on this machine way back in the day, not sure if that would have anything to do with this though.

    Ok strangely enough, it seems to be working properly now.  That is with Amphetamine enabled.  I'll update after I've run it for a day.

    It's been a day.  Everything is working properly.  So the solution really was to update to the latest version, verify settings, and verify the app was running.  Pretty weird, but ok.

    @Michael,

    Thanks for the update. I'm going to promote your answer. It's quite possible that when we last investigated, an older version of Amphetamine had bugs with the way it detected local activity on the machine. The newer version probably fixed that. Thanks again for trying it out and reporting back. I'll update the solution based on your experience.

    I’m still having the same issue. I don’t use Amphetamine.

    This behavior of constantly going to the Lock Screen only happens when the lid is closed. If the lid is opened everything works as it should. It's very frustrating.

    Was any resolution reached for the above issue?

    I am experiencing this for the first time. Running MacOS 11.4 (closed lid) with the latest Jump Desktop on Windows 8.3.19 and attempting to connect to Mac running Jump Desktop Connect 60732. I do not run this Amphetamine app that you've mentioned above.

    amphetamine does work, but i really don't want to have the computer never sleep. is there a way to let it sleep and still have jump be able to connect to it and *then* start amphetamine to keep it awake from that point (and then subsequently let it sleep again once i disconnect)?
