    Jump Desktop Support

    Hi,

Try restarting your machine and then connecting to it remotely. You should still be able to connect even though you don't see Jump Desktop Connect running on your desktop. Try it out and let me know if it works for you.

More details about this if you're interested:

Jump Desktop Connect has two components:

    1. A background service that starts up when your computer starts. This starts before any user on the machine has logged on. The background service does not show any UI.
    2. An agent app that launches on your desktop and shows you the user interface that you're familiar with.

The background service is really the main component that needs to be running to make your computer remotely accessible at all times. When you reboot your machine, the background service starts very early and stays running. The agent app is only launched when the _first_ connection attempt is made after a reboot.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.

Thanks for the explanation...and good news, I rebooted both PCs, and was able to connect to each from the Jump Desktop iPad app, no problem.  Not sure why it wasn't working before, but so far so good.

    Thanks!
