Agreed - it seems key mappings from Windows Client to MacOS are very broken. Sometimes I can do a Control-C on my Windows keyboard to do a copy in my connected MacOS session - sometimes not. I can never do a Command-C (get alt-characters) I have to do everything on the remote MacOS session via the mouse (right click and menus).

Still an issue in October 2020. I do 90% of my programming with keyboard shortcuts so it's a productivity show-stopper. A perfect solution would be to just capture the Windows key and convert it to command. That way, all key combos would translate directly.

@David, I also have this problem. Ending the remote session and restarting is helps. But I agree this is very annoying.

@all, I also have problems generating the @ character. Somtimes it did not work. I use as work-a-round to create the character on windows and work with copy&paste.

I just started a test ride of jumpdesktop. May application is from a Windows machine to a remote mac mini (M1). While the setup was really easy, the issue with the key conversion is irritating to say the least...I manged to set up a conversion for "@" (the defaults worked randomly...now it works continously) but e.g. failed to set one up for "\" for "[", "{" (and their respective closing siblings) and other frequently used special characters. The performance and stability of jumpdesktop is great, but the key conversions are ... far from that. If there is a pointer to a more thorough getting started doc for this topic, pls. share...
