    Jump Desktop Support (Edited )

    Hi Peter,

    1. Jump works great with VPNs. Jump will automatically try and connect over the VPNs. If it has a direct path the machine you're connecting to over the VPN, it will use it to connect (try to make sure UDP is allowed on the VPN for best performance).
    2. Yes, Jump supports audio streaming. Just make sure you're connecting using the Fluid Remote Desktop protocol (this is the default) by installing the Jump Desktop Connect on the remote machine. If you're connecting to a Mac, be sure to read this help article: How to stream audio on Mac.

mmm... ANY remote app (even stock screen share) will do the same IF there is a direct path to the machine

VPN makes that more difficult, so to rephrase the question:
Can Jump for macOS handle the proper ip management when a clear path to the desired machine may not available?

Some remote apps handle this through helper apps installed on the desired machine, and given Jump Desktop offers a helper app I am asking if it will handle the port management as needed.

Yes. With our Jump Desktop Connect app installed on the remote machine, Jump will use various techniques to try and connect directly to the remote machine. If all these fail, it will automatically fallback to one of our global relay servers located across the world. Your connection is encrypted end to end and our relay servers can't de-crypt the connection matter.
