Mac - Mouse acceleration in some situations way too fast

As others have posted about different platforms - I have the same issue connecting from Mac to a Windows PC. "the mouse behaves strangely. it moves too fast and rotates the camera very quickly."

I can't find anyone having this issue on Mac connecting to Windows but I have the exact same thing.  Is there a way to fix or adjust this?  I have this same issue in multiple apps - 3D apps like Blender and Daz3d, as well as certain mouse motions in After Effects.  Especially motions that combine a CTRL + mouse. or SHIFT + mouse middle click to orient around a scene. Other things work as expected, including mouse wheel scrolls on windows, etc.   In an otherwise amazing performant setup, this sometimes ruins the experience.
