Stop the disconnects when I alt tab

When i am using my iPad Pro to connect to my destination machine, I would like that connection to remain open even when I alt-tab to another app on my ipad.

It is really frustrating having to wait for these poxy clouds to fad away while the app reconnects yet again. 

I am multitasking on my ipad, obviously I'm going to alt+tab a lot to switch to my communication software and browser before going back to the remote machine to type some code.
