cmd-tab on iOS to switch apps on Mac

I'm on an iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard controlling a MacBook Pro.

When I cmd-tab on the iPad keybord with the intention of switching apps on the Mac it doesn't work. Cmd-tab on the iPad changes the app I'm using on the iPad away from Jump.

Is there any way to set the cmd-tab to run on the remote Mac rather than locally on the iPad?

Do I need to switch apps on the remote Mac by using the Dock on the Mac?

  You can't use Cmd+Tab on the iPad since the iPad will intercept it. Instead use Alt+Tab which gets translated to Cmd+Tab by Jump automagically: https://support.jumpdesktop.com/hc/en-us/articles/216423543-iOS-Physical-Keyboard-Support-and-Macros
