    Hello

Can you give an estimate on when a first version for M1 will be available ? For me and I am sure it goes for many others it is crucial that this works and does so without the need for Rosetta. Until there is a working version , I need to stay with my old MBP.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

We're working on this and this is a priority for us. That said, can you please let me know why using Rosetta is a blocker for you in the meantime?

I do a lot of multitasking on my machine which is geting older and needs replacement. Rosetta will use up more system resources and in my case I am sure it will slow the system even more. But you have not given an answer, surely you have some idea if you are one week or one month or 6 months from a working version?

seems like you did'nt get the Case...

Jump Desktop runs Pretty Smooth on M1 macs
Your Old Computer wont have an benefit from an universal Version in any way...
A new M1-based computer will have more than enough power for your multitasking.

    (sorry for my bad english).

My experience thus far is that Jump Desktop runs on M1 in Rosetta2, but it can be glitchy and laggy compared to my old Mac Pro running Sierra and my 2015 MacBook Pro running Big Sur. As far as controlling M1 with Jump Desktop Connect, it seems to work for a while, but then is unresponsive (screen shows, but you can't click anything) if the M1 has a chance to go to sleep.

Running Jump Desktop 8.6.19 (80619) and Jump Desktop Connect 6.5.17.

So I'm looking forward to beta-testing a native Jump Desktop Connect client at the very least...

    1. We'll be releasing a native M1 Apple Silicon build of the client in the next day or two. If you want to be notified please opt into the beta channel here: https://changelog.jumpdesktop.com/how-to-install-jump-desktop-betas-39lkd2 .

    2. @Jdaniel - what you're reporting is not a known issue with the Intel builds on M1 running under Rosetta 2. Can you please describe the glitches?

Just downloaded the beta and tried to open it.  It asks me to install Rosetta?
