    Hi Stephen,

To fix this, open up Jump Desktop Connect on the remote machine and then click Settings -> Advanced -> Audio Capture Device -> set it to your audio capture device and reconnect for it to have it take effect.

Also - were you running Jump Desktop 6.5.17 beta by any chance before? If so, one more solution is to simply uninstall Blackhole audio from the machine and reconnect: https://github.com/ExistentialAudio/BlackHole/wiki/Uninstallation

It was on Beta previously, I've already unstalled Blackhole audio and Settings -> Advanced -> Audio Capture Device is already set to the Jump Desktop audio device.

I've also uninstalled and re-installed Jump Desktop Connect.

    Stephen,

Re-installing Jump Desktop Connect won't help. Instead try connecting to one of the affected machines, and then open up Jump Desktop Connect -> Settings icon -> Advanced -> Audio Capture Device. Let me know what it says.

    Hi Stephen,

This looks good. Can you please try disconnecting and reconnecting:

    1. Does the default sound output device on the remote machine change to 'Jump Desktop Audio'?

    2. Are other apps like Safari etc able to play audio after you reconnect?

Disconnecting and reconnecting does not change the sound output device.  I can not play audio out of any application including web browsers.

So is downgrading to an earlier version, not an option?

It is an option, but ideally we'd like to make this work for you ASAP. I'm escalating your request to the dev team. Someone should contact you very shortly.

Stephen, looks like someone has reached out you via email. We would love to make the current version work for you. However, if want to try downgrading for now, here's the last production release of Connect: https://mirror.jumpdesktop.com/downloads/connect/JumpDesktopConnect-6.4.59.dmg

We're having this on another station.  I was able to resolve it for most users by uninstalling blackholech and rebooting, but the primary user of that station still has no audio, not sure what else to try as he's tried from multiple stations but still gets no audio.  I can't replicate the issue though.

Would it be possible to do another zoom with someone from the dev team again?
