Connection closed after cmd-tab on iPad

There was a post about this in 2020, but it had no responses. I use an iPad Pro to remotely connect to my Mac. If I switch from Jump Desktop to another app on the iPad I will lose the connection to the remote Mac after a certain amount of time (something like a minute). I’m using Fluid Remote on the remote Mac. Any way of preventing the loss of the connection? (As a side note, when I reconnect the resolution on the iPad generally changes from “Match iPad” to some other resolution, which is annoying.)
