Unable to reconnect to my remote Mac while I'm away
I'm away from my home for several weeks. I had been using Jump to connect to and use my Mac remotely for several days and then one day it stopped allowing me to connect. Jump pops up a dialog staying "Unable to Connect" and suggests checking my settings, but nothing has changed. I know the remote Mac is still running fine because I can still access the Plex Server that is running on the same machine and stream movies from it remotely to my iPad. I don't know if the VNC service got "stuck" or something else happened. It's there a way I can jump start the connection again? I have the ssh Port closed on my router, so I can't get in that way and I don't allow WAN configuration on my Airport Base Station so I can't change the Port settings remotely. Am I stuck without access until I get home in August, or is there a secret backdoor or other steps I can take to reconnect?
