Audio Question Zoom and Media Composer

I am trying to figure out how to deal with a specific audio needs since Mic redirection doesn't work. I edit using Avid Media Composer.  I need to send to Zoom on the remote machine to stream the picture. (works fine)

But I also need Zoom open on the local machine to use the mike for talkback.I get an echo.

I can solve this by using the app loopback on the local machine and not send the mic to the speakers. But I believe there must be an easier solution.

Has anybody tried a setup like this? I suspect I need to use blackhole and audio midi setup.

But I am not sure what to do   and on which machine. And suggestions or links would be helpful.
