Default Keyboard to numpad

We are having difficulty buying Zebra handhelds right now due to inventory shortages so we are looking at possibly using the iPod Touch and a BT scanner in our warehouse. The guys rarely type anything but numbers. Would it be possible to set the default keyboard layout to the numpad? It would also be nice if the numpad had a return key. Worst case we could treat the + sign as a return key in our app.
