When using a link to connect to the a remote machine, I am told the remote machine must be signed in to my Jump account... what?
I'm trying to help a family member. They have installed Jump Desktop Connect on their Mac, and given me the sharing link.
When I open the sharing link, I am asked if I already have Jump Desktop. I say "yes" and Jump Desktop tries to connect. Then it tells me the other computer is offline, and to connect, the remote computer needs to be signed in to my Jump account.
Am I supposed to give the other party my login information? That seems insane. I thought the point of the sharing link was that it made it easy to let someone connect to your desktop? I expected the other party to be told that I was trying to get in, and they would give permission for that session.
