Android (Beta): Korean input and Korean/English (한/영) switching – is a fix planned?
Hi Jump Desktop team,
I'm using the Jump Desktop Android app (Beta, last Play update Sep 15, 2026) to connect to a Mac host (Jump Desktop Connect, Fluid) with a hardware Bluetooth keyboard. Korean input doesn't work properly in the Android viewer. In particular, I can't switch between Korean and English the way I can on the iPad client.
The v10 release notes list Korean/Chinese/Japanese hardware keyboard and composition fixes for Windows, Mac, iPhone and iPad, but I couldn't find anything for Android. The Android app seems to forward raw key events without IME composition handling.
Could you tell me:
- Is Korean/CJK input (composition and 한/영 switching) planned for the Android app?
- If so, is there a rough timeline, for example before the stable release?
- Is there a recommended workaround in the meantime?
Setup: Android 13 handheld, Bluetooth keyboard, Mac host with input source set to ABC. Happy to test beta builds or provide logs.
Thanks!
