Weird rescaling when Windows 10 laptop in clamshell mode
I'm having a strange issue I need help with. I am using Fluid to connect from my Mac Studio (Monterey 12.6.2) to a Dell Latitude laptop running Windows 10. The laptop can only run at a resolution of 1366x768. In the Display section, I have Resolution set to Same as remote computer. When I connect to the laptop with the lid open, everything looks fine through Jump. But as soon as I close the lid (clamshell mode) on the laptop, the items on the Start menu shrink down and some windows don't repaint properly when scrolling or selecting different tabs. New text and graphics inside windows gets written on top of previous text and it's difficult to select by clicking with the mouse. If I click on a dropdown list, the items on the list stay on the screen after I have made a selection. As soon as I open the lid, everything goes back to normal.
I am using the laptop as a remote VST instruments host for my music production and I would prefer no to have to keep the lid open at all times. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hi,
This happens when your graphics card is not engaged due to clamshell mode. To fix this, turn on the new Virtual Display option after you connect. It will fix this.

Thanx for your reply, but this does not fix the issue in my case. Once connected to the remote laptop I'm unable to select "Virtual Displays" because that menu option is greyed-out. I can select Virtual Displays from the property dialog prior to connecting but the setting is ignored. Not only does the resolution get capped at the laptop's max resolution of 1366x768, but the weird re-scaling issue persists regardless.

Hi Karl,
It sounds like it's no engaging the virtual monitor feature: This can happen because of 2 reasons: You're running an older version of Jump Desktop Connect on the laptop in clamshell mode - please make sure it's atleast 6.8.x) or you're not running an older version of Windows 10 - please make sure it's up to date.
