Hearing Audio While Using Avid MediaComposer

Hi All,

Whenever I use Jump Desktop to remote into Avid Media Composer I am unable to hear audio. Picture plays fine, but audio doesn't come through. However, whenever I use Adobe Premiere audio plays fine and audio plays fine through everything else other than Avid. We do have our office machines set-up with BlackMagic boxes, so I'm wondering if there is a setting that just needs to be switched off?

  Hi Harrison, Thank you for reaching out to us.

  For this issue, you need to disable Avid’s Hardware sound output to Blackmagic during the remote session.
  Let me know how it goes.

  I am experiencing a slightly similar but different issue editing in Final Cut Pro 11.01. The audio plays when I'm playing a timeline in stereo. But when scrubbing clips in my Clips Browser, no audio plays. Those clips are often 8-channel mono. I do have a Blackmagic card, but output to that card is disabled and not engaged for playback. So I'm not sure why I'm getting audio from one part of Final Cut Pro, but not when searching and playing back clips in the Clip Browser that aren't in the timeline.
