Windows name resolution on LAN
There is a problem in connection within LAN.
If there is a solution, please let me know.
1. The host name of a connection place is unsolvable.
2. The automatic detection of the PC of the same network cannot be carried out.
3. Within closed LAN, if an IP address is not used, it is not connectable.
4. If the Internet is cut, registered PC is undetectable with a connection tool.
5. Two or more information on the same PC is displayed.
Information on a connection tool, and information on a manual setup (IP and host name).
I use Jump Desktop for iPhone and iPad,Windows XP and 7 and HomeServer and 2008R2.

@toshiaki Jump supports Bonjour name resolution.
Try this - I think it'll work for you:
- Make sure your computer has Bonjour installed: To do this either install iTunes on your Windows machine or install Bonjour Print Services (use Bonjour Print Services if you're unsure since it's a smaller download).
- Then open up Jump and tap the + button to add a manual connection to your PC. In the Host field put your computer's name but make sure you add a suffix of .local to the name:
- For example: If your PC's name is toshiaki use toshiaki.local as the computer's name in Jump (the .local part is really important).
- Try connecting to your computer (make sure you're on the same LAN though)

Thank you for the answer. The host name has been solved when adding ".local" to the end of the host name. If explanation is indicated on the screen, it is good. It is regrettable as it does not correspond to the automatic detection of netbios or pc in LAN. Don't you think that it is inconvenient?
