Feature request: Windows Phone support
Hi,
Please consider adding support for a new client - Windows Phone. In particular, it would be great if you could add support for Windows Phone 7.x (maybe Windows Phone 7.5 is the minimum). I know that Windows Phone has a small market share. And I know that Windows Phone 8 is the new platform. However, Windows Phone 7.x apps will run on Windows Phone 8 as well (so you only need to target Windows Phone 7, and you'd get support for both platforms). There is nothing like Jump Desktop available on Windows Phone, that does NAT traversal via Gmail. (And in Windows Phone 7.x, there's virtually no VPN support, so this would make your product even more compelling).
Thanks for your consideration,
Notre

Hi Notre,
We've considered adding Windows Phone 7.x support in the past but besides the business reasons there is a major technical hurdle which prevents us from supporting WP7. WP7 doesn't let us reuse our extensive C/C++ code base. Thats a deal breaker for us. Microsoft has fixed things in Windows Phone 8. Windows Phone 8 now makes it possible to reuse our C/C++ code just like we've done on Android, iOS and the Mac. This why you won't see WP7 support for Jump - we will however consider doing a WP8 version.
