It stays colored.

Hi Jeff,
Fluid doesn't have manual quality control at the moment like regular VNC. It's designed to monitor the available bandwidth and automatically adjust it's quality settings.
Can you tell me a little more about why you want to adjust quality manually? Is there a performance problem?
-
@Jeff - thats actually an astute observation: It indeed does help battery life if you use lower quality. We'll look into adding quality options that help with battery. Are you by any chance one our beta testing group? The upcoming release of Jump Desktop 7.2 for iOS adds major performance / battery improvements for Fluid.

Hi, I have found that under the worst network connections RealVNC in the low quality mode works best for me. I love fluid desktop, but when I'm on slow cellular, I would love to be able to switch to the low-res option that realvnc provides. Any chance we could get this added to fluid?

While we haven’t added a low quality mode option to Fluid, but we’ve made significant progress on Fluid’s recovery from packet loss (which happens on low bandwidth connections), you should be seeing an improvement on slow connections .
Do let me know if you’re seeing problems with this.
@Jwilt : were you more interested in reducing battery usage?
