Sonoma 14.4 broke Jump Connect

Hi Luke, Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Regarding this issue, the Sonoma 14.4 beta breaks Jump Desktop Connect, there is an Apple bug on this already.
To know more about it kindly check this link: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/macos-release-notes/macos-14-release-notes#ScreenSharingBest Regards,

Abdul,
I read the page you linked there, but I don't see any mention about a bug related to Screen Sharing. The only thing I can find is this:
"Deprecations -
Use of legacy CGDisplayStream APIs to capture screen content will result in additional consent alerts. (110529324)"Is that what you are referring to? If it is, it seems like apps will need to change their code to not call CGDisplayStream() anymore to fix the multiple permission prompts.

Same issue. I can no longer access my MacBook remotely since this update (unless I am standing right next to it to click "allow" over and over again), so I have to use a different application instead unfortunately.
Steps I've tried:
- My macOS Screen & Audio Recording & Accessibility settings are already marked as allowed for Jump Desktop Connect.
- I already tried uninstalling/reinstalling multiple times
- I tested across multiple macOS devices; same issue persists, on macOS.
Since other Remote Desktop apps remain NOT broken, the link to Sonoma's release notes are not relevant... something has to be fixed with Jump Desktop to allow this to work again.
Could you confirm if this is actively being worked on?
Thank you for your help!

We've reproduced this on our side. Please keep in mind that 14.4 is still in beta. The API that Jump uses to capture the screen broken in 14.4.The API worked as expected from in 14.1, 14.2 and 14.3. We've raised this issue with Apple - such a major break in functionality is not expected in a point release.

I'm glad you raised the issue & I wish that Apple hadn't broken this.
But, to be accurate, according to their release notes, the API that was deprecated is CGDisplayStream which was actually deprecated in 14.0 — so quite a long time ago. See https://developer.apple.com/documentation/macos-release-notes/macos-14-release-notes#ScreenSharing
In case you want to reference the bugtracker that I have open as well it's FB13580551.

Hello everyone,
Comment Updated: Feb 25th. Please use 6.10.23 and make sure you've updated for macOS 14.4 Beta 4: https://jumpdesktop.com/downloads/connect/JumpDesktopConnect-6.10.23.dmg

I've run into a new problem that seems to stem from this latest beta version of Jump Desktop Connect. I use my work Macbook Air to connect to my Mac mini back at home during the day. If I put my Macbook Air to sleep while it is connected to the Mac mini, it seems to cause Jump Desktop Connect on the mini to stop responding. When this happens, I can't reconnect to the mini until I get home at the end of the day and force quit and restart Jump Desktop Connect.

@Sean Murray I've got the same problem, except it happens when I connect to my Mac Mini from my iPhone, and then later try to reconnect.
I ran some debug logging with the 'log stream' command while trying to connect, and I saw repeated entries from TCCd denying access due to JumpConnect requesting access to Contacts and Calendars. Not sure if that's related. I can post the logs somewhere if it's helpful to the developers.
In the meantime, if you have SSH access to the target machine, I found that killing the JumpConnect process seems to restore the ability to connect:
sudo pkill -x JumpConnect
