OSx app and iOS app and payment

I was wondering why iOS app and OSx app are both paid and different pricing buying one will not allow me to download the app from the other store?

  Hi Matias, Thank you for reaching out to us.
  
  If you have purchased Jump Desktop for iOS and now want to connect from your Mac, you will additionally need to purchase Jump Desktop for Mac in order to get this connectivity.
  Jump Desktop for Mac and Jump Desktop for iOS are separate apps designed for different platforms, so each needs to be purchased individually.
