No response from iPad cursor

ump desktop connect on my Mac m4 and Jump desktop on my iPad Pro. I can get no response from my iPad Pro mouse cursor. What am I doing wrong? Assistive touch is OFF on my iPad.

  Hi, Thank you for reaching out to us.
  
  For this issue, kindly disable the Perform Touch Gestures in the Assistive Touch settings on your iPhone.
  Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch > Disable "Perform Touch Gestures".
