keyboard doesn't work when in app, works locally on my macbook air- this after latest update as stated

Connecting with Macbook Air to a server PC. Macbook OS is OS X El Capitan. Jump Desktop on the macbook was working fine up until the update. Now when in the app and connecting to the server PC, the keyboard doesn't work. Outside of the app, locally on the Mac the keyboard does work. Tried authorizing the app etc to no avail. Pls advise.

As stated, "Jump Desktop on the macbook was working fine up until the update." so I'm referring to the Jump software update that was done on the Mac. Yes, the mouse responds just fine in the remote screen....it's just the keyboard that seems to be disabled. I can open and close windows on the remote screen, just no keyboard ability.

Okay - thank you for this. You're probably running 8.0.2 (thats the latest release on the App Store atm).
Can you try downloading an older version from here and see if the issue is still there: https://jumpdesktop.com/downloads/JumpDesktopMac-7.1.4-228.zip . Let me know if the problem reproduces with the older version - this will help us understand which end the problem is at (server or client).
