    Hi there,

    It sounds like Jump might be confused about one of your computer's identities. Did you by any chance add a new machine to your network and restore the machine from a backup of another machine where Jump Desktop Connect was already installed?

    i have not restored any pc's from a backup no. i have not added any new pc's recently either.

     

    come to think of it, it does the same when trying to connect to my brothers pc which is at his home 30 miles away so i guess it probably isnt my local network

    It could still be your network if you're on wifi. Can you try switching your phone to LTE and see if you can reproduce the same problem?

    Yes i have same problem. it only makes this error on home network. There is no problem with the connection on the LTE network, it works fine on LTE. Why am I so slow on my home network?

    I'm having this problem as well. Would be great to get this resolved or a reason why this is happening (whether it's our machines, etc.) as it seems others are having the same issue over the past couple years.

    Speedtest for me is 366Mbps down 20Mbps up 12ms Ping. At home I'm using a new Mac Mini 2023 16GB macOS Ventura 13.4. Dual monitors: 34" Ultrawide and a 25" QHD.

    Remote Mac is running macOS 10.14.03

    Jump Desktop Version 8.9.16 (80916)
